Crafted from forged 4340 steel alloy, these rods undergo extensive machining, stress relieving, and magnafluxing to ensure durability and reliability. Their compact, uniform-grain structure enhances strength, and critical dimensions—such as the wrist pin and big end bores—are honed to precise tolerances of +/-.0002 inches. Bronze alloy bushings reinforce the wrist pins, while cap screw ARP 8740 alloy rod bolts secure each rod. Every set is weight-matched within 2 grams to ensure balanced performance.
