The EFR 8474 features an 84mm compressor wheel with lower inertia than its 83mm predecessor, ensuring rapid spool times and impressive top-end airflow. The extended-tip compressor wheel design and optimized efficiency plateaus allow for higher pressure ratios and increased performance throughout the powerband. Combined with the lightweight 74mm Gamma-Ti (titanium aluminide) turbine wheel, this turbo achieves a 22% increase in airflow compared to its predecessor, with a maximum flow rate of 95 lb/min at 127,000 RPM shaft speed.
