The Melling 10295 high-pressure oil pump is an upgraded version of the M295 OE replacement pump, offering a 10% increase in pressure while maintaining stock volume. Designed for high-performance applications, this pump addresses common oil flow and cavitation issues in factory LS oil pumps, which can lead to oil pressure drops and potential engine damage at high RPMs.

Performance Benefits:

The stock LS oil pump experiences cavitation above 6,200 RPM, reducing oil flow by nearly 1 GPM at 7,000 RPM and aerating the oil, leading to pressure drops and potential oil starvation. This upgraded Melling pump is recommended for engines operating above 6,200 RPM to prevent these issues. It also helps maintain stable oil pressure in setups with oil coolers.

Application Compatibility:

This oil pump is designed for GM Gen III & IV LS and Vortec engines without Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Displacement on Demand (DoD). For AFM/DoD-equipped engines, see Melling part number 689-10355.
