- Includes: (1) Walbro F90000262 High Pressure Universal In-Tank Fuel Pump (Pump Only)
- Application: Universal
The Walbro 400 LPH "turbine-style" in-tank high-pressure fuel pump is engineered to meet the demanding fuel needs of turbocharged high-performance gasoline engines. Offering flow rates comparable to dual in-tank pumps or large external pumps, this compact and efficient unit delivers impressive performance while maintaining a quiet operation. It is an excellent choice for turbocharged vehicles exceeding 500 horsepower, as well as those seeking to generate high power and run increased boost levels when a 255 LPH pump is insufficient. However, this pump is not recommended for applications below 400 horsepower.
The Walbro 400 F90000262 is designed for a straightforward drop-in installation in various vehicles, including the Nissan S13/S14 240SX, turbocharged 1988-2001 Honda and Acura models, Ford EcoBoost vehicles, and more. It is also compatible with GC and GD Subaru models, though certain STI models may require the removal of the in-tank STI fuel filter and replacement with a WRX firewall-mounted filter. Due to its larger 50mm base, some vehicles, such as the Evo 8/9 and 2006+ Honda models, may require slight modifications to the stock housing. This pump utilizes the same plug as the traditional Walbro 255.
Walbro's turbine pump design incorporates two sets of turbine blades mounted in parallel on a common shaft, similar to a jet engine. This highly efficient mechanism allows fuel to flow axially without abrupt directional changes, resulting in exceptional flow rates across different rail pressures and injector sizes.
For those running E85 or other ethanol-based fuels, we also offer the Walbro 450 LPH model, designed to provide even greater fuel flow capacity than the 400 LPH version.
