This turbocharger stands out as one of our top-selling journal bearing models. The newly introduced 'SX-Enhanced' series sets a new standard for performance and value in contemporary turbochargers. With dimensions similar to the GT35 or Precision 62, the SXE features BorgWarner’s latest billet compressor wheels and upgraded journal bearings with 360-degree thrust assemblies. The 61.44mm inducer SXE serves as a modern performance upgrade, replacing the S360, S362, and 63mm FMW turbos.
Designed with a specialized SX-E compressor housing, the SXE turbos incorporate a ported shroud anti-surge inlet and a port for a speed sensor. They are equipped with the classic Airwerks 80mm Inconel turbine and offer adaptable housing configurations. With a more compact design than the EFR8374 and enhanced airflow capacity, this turbo is ideal for high-boost, high-power setups. It is exclusively oil-cooled with journal bearings.
