Oem Part# IHI VF38

The VF38 is a smaller turbo than the VF30/34/36/37, but similar to the VF36 in that it is twin scroll, has a titanium turbine and titanium shaft, however I'm not sure though if the VF38 is a ball bearing turbo like the VF36. This means the VF38 has better spool than the VF30/34/36/37 - in the JDM Legacy GT, peak torque and likely peak boost is reached at 2400RPM whilst the VF36 is hitting peak boost at 3200RPM and the VF37 is hitting peak boost at 3600RPM.

2005-2009 Subaru Legacy GT

This turbo will also fit the 2009-2011 Forester XT, and 2008-2014 WRX with some modification
