Remanufactured T-850 Transmission – 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4

Up for sale is one professionally remanufactured T-850 transmission for the 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4. Our transmissions are rebuilt using OEM components and strict quality control procedures to ensure durability and performance.

Build Specifications

• Assemblies are built using all new components with the exception of the gears, input shaft, and 2004–2005 differential, which are thoroughly inspected and verified to meet OEM specifications.
• We no longer use used forks or hubs in our builds.

• Gear sets (1-R) are inspected to ensure they meet Dodge OE specifications and are secured using P Werks Carbon Snap Rings

• New OEM Blocker Rings installed in every unit
• Brand New Shift Forks to ensure proper gear engagement
• New End Bearings installed on both Input and Output Shafts
• New Needle Bearings throughout the unit
• Input Shafts are inspected for twisting or fractures
• Output Shafts are inspected for fractures, chips, and gear burn damage
• 2004-2005 Differentials are reused only after full inspection
• Shift Rails are professionally polished
• Back Plates are thoroughly cleaned and reconditioned
• New Axle Seals included

Recommended Transmission Fluid

We strongly recommend:

Racing 4T Motorcycle 10W-40 Full Synthetic Motor Oil

This oil contains higher zinc content than most automotive oils and provides superior protection. All gear sets are pre-soaked in this oil during assembly.

Installation Requirements & Recommendations

This transmission does NOT require an extender.

To ensure proper operation and longevity, we require the following:

• Perform crossover adjustment on your shift assembly (shifter housing).
— Reference Ed Peters' adjustment video for proper procedure.
• Reset the slave cylinder during installation.
• Install new shifter cable bushings on both ends.
• Recommended upgrades:
— AGP Billet Shift Fork
— New Throw-Out Bearing (TOB)

Slave Cylinder Reset Procedure

If the slave cylinder is removed without disconnecting the clutch pedal:

• Crack the hydraulic line
• Push the piston back in
• Re-bleed the system

For stainless lines, loosen the union fitting, place a rag and container underneath, push the piston inward, and re-tighten before bleeding.

Note: The weight of the clutch pedal alone can overextend the slave cylinder, which may alter clutch release and affect proper operation.
